01

The opportunity

Build the coaching and enablement system behind stronger vendor partnerships.

The Sales Manager turns vendor strategy into consistent execution across the Account Executive team. The role stays close to live calls, pipeline decisions, representative development, and the cross-functional work required to keep programs and transactions moving responsibly.

This is not only a forecast role. It owns the habits, feedback, training, and standards that help sellers earn trust with equipment partners and bring LeasePoint better context for each opportunity.

02

What the role owns

Coach the team and make repeatable execution visible.

  • Run useful one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, role play, call coaching, and development plans
  • Translate sales strategy into daily activity, qualification, follow-up, and opportunity standards
  • Build playbooks, talk tracks, onboarding, and ongoing enablement for vendor finance conversations
  • Partner with credit, funding, product, marketing, and operations on recurring friction and handoffs
  • Improve forecast quality without turning activity or optimism into a promised outcome
03

Leadership profile

Who succeeds in this role.

  • A leader who has carried a quota and can make effective selling observable and teachable
  • A coach who gives direct feedback, listens to the call, diagnoses the behavior, and agrees on the next practice step
  • An operator who protects one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, role play, call coaching, and development plans from becoming calendar theater
  • A manager who balances empathy with accountability and does not carry work the representative needs to learn to own
  • A cross-functional partner who brings useful evidence to revenue, credit, funding, product, marketing, and operations
  • A clear thinker who separates activity, pipeline quality, forecast judgment, formal finance decisions, and guaranteed outcomes
04

What success looks like

Make individual growth and team execution measurably stronger.

  • Understand each Account Executive's strengths, gaps, pipeline, vendor relationships, and development priorities
  • Establish a consistent coaching cadence with clear preparation, feedback, practice, and follow-through
  • Create useful onboarding, talk tracks, discovery standards, objection handling, deal reviews, and call coaching
  • Improve pipeline hygiene, qualification, follow-up discipline, forecast quality, and handoff context
  • Turn recurring win and loss patterns into focused enablement and operating changes
  • Build a team that knows its responsibility boundaries and knows when to bring in the responsible specialist
05

Candidate profile

What strong candidates bring.

  • A record of consultative B2B sales performance and direct coaching or sales leadership
  • Command of prospecting, discovery, opportunity strategy, objection handling, negotiation, and closing
  • Experience building enablement, training, coaching, or onboarding that changes observable behavior
  • The ability to inspect CRM evidence, call quality, pipeline movement, and forecast assumptions without managing by dashboard alone
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and feedback skills
  • Comfort working close to the team and partnering with senior leadership while maintaining an independent point of view

Cross-functional ownership

How the role works across LeasePoint.

Work closely with sales, credit, funding, product, and operations. Share accurate customer details, keep records current, and bring questions to the team best equipped to answer them.

  • Bring customer and vendor context with the handoff
  • Keep CRM and operating records complete enough for the next owner to act
  • Escalate credit, legal, privacy, pricing, and approval questions to the responsible team
  • Turn repeated friction into a better process, enablement asset, or controlled change
  • Confirm the result with the people permitted to receive it
