The opportunity
Open relevant conversations with equipment sellers who could benefit from a finance program.
Business Development Representatives research equipment markets, identify potential vendor partners, and create the first useful conversation. Strong outreach begins with a credible reason for the seller to care, not a generic financing pitch.
The role learns how equipment vendors make money, how representatives sell, where buyers hesitate, and what a finance program might improve. It then gives the Account Executive a clean handoff with the company, contact, context, activity, and reason to continue.
What the role owns
Research carefully, communicate clearly, and qualify honestly.
- Build focused prospect lists across healthcare and specialty equipment markets
- Run disciplined phone, email, LinkedIn, event, and follow-up outreach
- Qualify vendor interest, sales context, and potential program fit without promising approval or terms
- Maintain complete CRM activity and a useful record of what the prospect said
- Partner with senior sellers so the prospect does not have to restart the conversation
What you will gain
Learn equipment finance and vendor selling from the first conversation forward.
The Business Development Representative learns how equipment vendors make money, how sales organizations reach business buyers, where financing enters the conversation, and what makes a vendor-program opportunity worth a senior seller's time.
The role builds practical skills in market research, outbound messaging, live conversation, qualification, CRM discipline, event follow-up, and handoff quality. Strong performance can prepare a person for broader responsibility in business development, account management, vendor programs, or sales.
